Located in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, Chichen Itza is a complex of ruins left over from one of the world’s most fascinating civilization: the Maya.

When visiting on hot sunny days, it would be best to bring a hat, some sunscreen and lots of water since the complex grounds will not offer you many opportunities to shade yourself form the Sun.
