Bangkok is one of those South East Asian cities that just come alive after the sun goes down. I love those cities and I love Bangkok.

Once the sun sets, don’t retire to your hotel room. Instead, head out and explore the city. Besides the usual restaurants and night clubs, you’ll find a few night markets and a lot of street food vendors. Find yourself a nice little place to have some very affordable drinks/beers whilst getting a foot massage. Enjoy some fried crickets and scorpions or a seafood platter.

For a unique experience, try getting your feet cleaned by some fish. Yes, you read that correctly. Along your way, you’ll often come across the Dr. Fish places that can be easily identified by aquariums filled with small little fish in front or in the store. The concept is quite simple: you wash your feet and place them in the water tank. The fish will then gather around and eat the dead skin on your feet. It’s absolutely painless. You will feel the same tingling sensation as when a part of your body goes numb.
