On a tour of Junagarh Fort in Bikaner, India, I noticed a group locals in front of us. Amongst them was a woman carrying a little girl in her arms. After a few minutes, I deducted that she was the “nanny” taking care of the little girl whilst the family enjoyed the tour of the Fort.

She distanced herself from the group and played with the girl on the beautifully patterned floors of Junagarh Fort. She allowed me to take their picture but avoided looking directly at the camera.
