I can count on one hand the number of times I remember getting up specifically to catch the sunrise. This day in the Dominican Republic is one of them. I had to set a few alarms to make sure I actually got up and stayed up. I had prepared all my equipment the night before as to not waste time and make noise in the morning. I was obviously the only one on the beach. The security guard even followed me around for a bit as he was curious to see what I was up to. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

I spent my childhood in the middle of the Indian Ocean on an island called Mahé. Today, Montreal is where I call home. I'm a hobbyist photographer who likes to document my travels. I hope this helps inspire your next adventure.
