Beauty can be found in our own backyard if pay attention. During the summer months, the city of Montreal will set up a ”beach-like” area in the Old Port, right at the base of the clock tower. When conditions are favourable, you can view some of the city’s most beautiful sunsets from this viewpoint.

Early shots
I can count on one hand the number of times I remember getting up specifically to catch the sunrise. This day in the Dominican Republic is one of them. I had to set a few alarms to make sure I actually got up and stayed up. I had prepared all my equipment the night before as to not waste time and make noise in the morning. I was obviously the only...

Vancouver – part 1
In 2020, the whole world entered in a lockdown. Almost all international travel literally ceased over night. With nowhere else to go, most people travelled locally within their own countries. There was no better time to travel across Canada to get taste of Vancouver life.

Valentin Perla Blanca
Cayo Santa Maria is another one of Cuba’s popular tourist destination. Working for an airline/tour operator, II had the opportunity to stay at the Valentin Perla Blanca hotel shortly after its opening. The hotel grounds were beautiful and the service was great. If you ever visit, be warned that there are a lot of mosquitoes at night.

Old Port kaleidoscope
Summers are short in Quebec. It’s best to enjoy every single day of it. A great way to experience the summer sunset in the city, is by heading to the Clock Tower in the Old Port. If the conditions are right, you’ll be treated with a kaleidoscope of colors during the last few minutes sun light.

El Salvador’s highest volcano
I know, climbing a volcano doesn’t sound like a very smart idea to a lot of you out there and that’s very justifiable. It is however one of the most unique and memorable experiences of my life. At more than 2300m (7800 ft) above sea level, the Santa Ana is El Salvador’s highest volcano.

A reddish hue
Montreal’s Chinatown is very small. At the Northern entrance (gate), there is a an unoccupied space. I don’t quite remember what was there previously. Perhaps a parking lot. At random occasions throughout the year, there will be some type of temporary scene set up by the city (maybe). This time it was a red Chinese lantern type of...

La Grande Roue de Montréal
I absolutely love night time photography. To me, it brings a whole new outlook to the cities and places we know. Whilst traveling, I always try to wander around the city after dark as long as it is safe to do so. On this particular occasion, I joined a group of local photographers to do some night time shooting around the Old Port on Montreal...

El Sol
The day was spent relaxing by the beach, swimming in the warm Caribbean waters and occasionally taking a dip in pool. No schedules, no emails, no meetings. At the end of that day, you bask in that beautiful golden light. There’s something special about being on vacation by the seaside.

Back alleys
Montreal has some very interesting back alleys or ruelles as we call them in French. There are neighborhoods that really go out of their way to give life to their ruelles. This one example taken somewhere on the Plateau Mont-Royal. Exploring this back alley briefly made me believe that I was somewhere else on Earth.

Viva Las Vegas!
I had no intentions of visiting Vegas anytime soon but things can quickly change when your boss tells you that you’re heading there to attend a week’s worth of conferences, I had a basic idea of what was waiting for me but having never bothered to research Las Vegas in details, I was quickly surprised by the scale of things.

A man and his car
Cuba is a fascinating country. In some ways, it’s a bit like traveling back through time. This photograph was taken in the small town of Guardalavaca in the province of Holguin. It was my third trip to this region and each time I would explore a bit further from the hotel. On this day, I borrowed a bicycle from the hotel and went out...

Show time
Having worked for an airline company for quite some time, I’ve done my fair share of all-inclusive trips ”down South”. As we all know, all the hotels from these types of trips will offer their guests some type of entertainment at the end of the evening. Depending on your location and your hotel, the entertainment shows can be...

Fisherman’s boat
Walking the beach of Samana in the Dominican Republic and I came across this fisherman’s boat. It had clearly seen some better days but it still had some good days left. There was a mix of random objects, including clothing and fishing equipment at the bottom.
